this moment

A Friday ritual. A photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment we want to pause, savor and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see.

  1. During this frightening time we can see the face of institutional and personal bigotry and hate in our president and citizens. It would be easy to say it is new and contrary to our values, but that would not be true. Part of not giving up needs to include acknowledging the foundation of the US on genocide, slavery, and racism as well as on freedom and rights for some of the people. Facism and white supremacy have had a part in our history and culture for longer than this country has existed. I want to see that past for what it was and see the present for what it is. Maybe the future can be better if we don’t give up on the hard work of change.
